CORAS goes to AFWERX Fusion 2020

CORAS will be participating in this year's AFWERX Fusion 2020 Base of the Future virtual event showcasing its Enterprise Decision Management Platform (EDMP), between July 28th - 30th. AFWERX, the Air Forces innovation arm, and catalyst for fostering innovation are hosting its annual flagship that brings together industry, individual innovators, academia, investors, military, and government team members. This year's goal for the event is to present innovative solutions for Air Force areas and to facilitate an environment of connection and collaboration.  

AFWERX Fusion is centered around the Base of the Future, which is made up of six challenges target at leveraging the best technology to create an integrated base while maintaining security, being resilient, and increasing agility for the Air Force and across the Department of Defense (DoD). The six challenges are:

• Improving base security and defense while increasing efficiency and effectiveness
• Increasing base resiliency by creating stronger infrastructure and the ability to bounce back quickly
• Leveraging technology for operational effectiveness
• Creating a culture of innovation to allow the free sharing of ideas on base and increasing the speed of technology adoption
• Improving the well-being of Airmen and their families
• Reverse engineering legacy parts with the latest additive and agile manufacturing technologies

Around 300+ teams have been selected to present their innovative solutions as part of an open showcase to those who attend, including top Air Force leadership and other military decision-makers and operators. CORAS was selected as a participant in this year's event to tackle the challenge "Culture of Innovation." This challenge is to help strengthen and perpetuate a culture of innovation within the USAF by improving workforce agility and breaking down barriers to change.
