Coras Privacy Policy

 

This PRIVACY POLICY (this “Policy”) discloses the privacy practices for any websites, products or services owned or controlled by CorasCloud, Inc. (“Coras”) that link to this Policy, including, but not limited to Coras, CorasNow, and CorasManage (the “Subscription Services”), any Company-developed implementation, configuration, integration, training, advisory, and other professional services (the “Professional Services”) and any other products or services developed by Coras (together with the Subscription Services and the Professional Services, the “Services”).  This Policy explains our online information practices applicable to the websites available under the various Coras website domains (collectively, the “Sites”) and all Coras Services made available to you on, through or in association with the Sites or any Coras Service.  This Policy applies with respect to your use of any Coras Site or Service, regardless of (a) your method of access (e.g., computer browser, application), or (b) whether you are a user or a visitor.   

 

Information you disclose to us during your access and use of our Sites is referred to as “Personal Information” (including information, recorded in any form, about an identified individual or an individual whose identity may be inferred or determined from such information, other than business contact information (e.g. Account Information (defined below) and billing information).  We will only collect, use and disclose your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  

 

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into, and forms part of, our Terms of Use, available at www.coras.com/terms, which outlines the terms and conditions you agree to when accessing and using our Sites.  By providing Personal Information to us, you agree and consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. We may revise this Privacy Policy at any time by updating this posting. Use of the Sites or Services after such revisions are posted will signify your agreement to the revised Privacy Policy. You should visit this page periodically to review this Privacy Policy and any revisions.

 

  1. Content Ownership, Collection and Use

 

We do not sell, share, or rent any content, data, or other such materials you upload or otherwise actively provide to us through the Sites. 

 

To better understand our customers and their interests, during use of our Sites, we may, through a third-party provider, automatically collect and /or track general data that is not personally identifiable information and related to activities while visiting our Sites, such as your referring/exit pages, use of our Sites, user behavior, general traffic flow, and number of times visited. 

 

  1. Collecting Information Through Registration, Ordering, and Related Processes

 

If you (a) order Services using a Site, (b) use Services from a Site, or (c) otherwise contact us, we may request information from you using an order, contact or registration form, or otherwise.  Such information may include things such as your name, username, password, email address, business information, and general information about your interest in, and use of, the Sites (collectively, the “Account Information”).  We may use such Account Information to better understand and market to our customers and Site users (e.g., product and service development, and sales and marketing purposes).  

 

  1. Handling of Payments/Protection of Payment Information

Coras does not store any credit card information; we have partnered with Braintree Payment Solutions LLC to collect payments.  Payment information is stored on Braintree’s secure site and not available to us, other than name, email and referential transaction information. If we have issues processing an order, this information will be used to contact you.  Your information collected via Braintree’s secure online payment system is governed by their Privacy Policy.   1. Sharing of Information

 

Account Holders.  Depending on the configuration and features selected by the user, we may share your information with the account holder or other users associated with your account.  For example, an employer or task leader may have access to certain information about your use of the Coras Service.   

 

Other Users with Whom You Interact While Using Coras.  Coras is designed for users to post and share content, collaborate, and communicate with one another. Your information will be shared with other users you chose to interact with while using the Coras Service.  If you are accessing Coras’ Service because you were invited by a Coras user, please remember that your information is subject to this Privacy Policy and to the user’s own privacy policies and practices.  Please review the privacy policy of the Coras user(s) with whom you interact on the Service before providing any Personal Information or Account Information.

 

Specific Services.  We use Microsoft Azure to host our Sites, and we may have agreements with other parties to provide you with specific additional services, including, third-party hosted collaboration tools and other hosted services.  When you or your organization use such services, we may share personally identifiable information with such parties.  In such cases, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to restrict the information provided to the information necessary for the provision of such services.

 

General Use.  Notwithstanding any other provision of this Privacy Policy, we may share personally identifiable information with various vendors, suppliers, and partners that benefit our users. Coras uses commercially-reasonable efforts to verify that such vendors, suppliers, and partners provide products and services of interest to Site users, and do not endorse such vendors, suppliers, advertisers, products or services unless expressly stated otherwise.  You may opt out of some of this sharing by using the opt-out information and contact information provided below.

 

Assignment for Sale or Merger.  As we develop our business, we might sell or otherwise transfer all or parts of our businesses or assets. We may also disclose your Personal Information to a third party as part of a sale of assets of Coras, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, or as the result of a change in control of the company or one of its affiliates, or in preparation for any of these events. Any third party to which we transfer or sell our assets will have the right to continue to use the Personal Information and other information that you provide to us in the manner set out in this Policy and then in accordance with the terms of their own privacy policy.

 

  1. Transfer of Data to Third Parties

 

Our Sites integrate some services provided by third parties.  We may share some of your information with these service providers for them to provide their services, including providing marketing assistance, conducting customer and/or user profiling, and collecting statistical information about the use of our website, and hosting services.  As such, the terms and privacy policies of these service providers may apply to you as well, for example, Hubspot, fullstory, and Microsoft Azure

 

  1. Cookies

 

We use cookies to better display our Sites, to save you time, to provide better technical support, and to anonymously track Service usage.  For example, cookies help us to: (a) keep track of whether you are signed in or have previously signed in; (b) remember your settings on the pages you visit; (c) display personalize content and targeted advertisements on our Sites as well as on other websites and services; (d) perform analytics, and measure traffic and usage trends, and better understand the demographics of our users; (e) diagnose and fix technology problems; and (f) otherwise plan for, and enhance, our Sites.

 

Most or all browsers permit you to disable or reject certain cookies. However, if you set the browser you use to reject cookies or otherwise disable them, you may not be able to use any or all the functionality at one or more of the Sites or it may take additional time to utilize such functionality.  If you wish to use any such functionality that requires the use of cookies at any of our Sites, then you must accept the use of cookies for that Site, and thereby, give us your permission to link your data as discussed above.

 

  1. Links to Third Party Websites and Services

 

The Sites may contain links to and from third party websites of our business partners, advertisers, and social media sites.  If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies.  We strongly recommend that you read their privacy policies and terms and conditions of use to understand how they collect, use, and share information.  Their standards may differ from ours.

 

  1. Additional Users

 

When you add additional users to your account we send them an invitation to join our Sites and request such users to provide us with certain additional contact information including such users’ email addresses. When you use such a service, you represent and warrant to us that you have an existing business or personal relationship with such additional user sufficient to avoid liability under any law that applies to unsolicited email. You will be deemed to be the sender of any such email (or other electronic communication) and we will be deemed to merely be a service provider facilitating your sending of the email (or other electronic communication).

 

  1. Security

 

Coras protects personally identifiable Account Information with certain security measures, including use of firewalls with intrusion detection, 24/7 monitoring, physical security through our hosting providers, payment processing providers, and processing and authentication standards for password and username.

 

Where we or our agents collect nonpublic Personal Information from you, we or they will generally take reasonable steps to protect such information, but there may be circumstances when such information will not be protected. Unless we have or our agent has specifically identified the connection as secure, you should assume that the connection is not secure and that it is possible for third parties to surreptitiously and/or illegally intercept the information shared by you and us.

 

  1. Communications

 

Users who provide information to Coras may receive email announcements or advertisements, updates, Service announcements, administrative messages, or other information about one (1) or more of the Sites and/or our Services.  Registered users may also receive notifications or other information about Services, and deals we think may be of interest to such registered users.   Out of respect for your privacy, we present the option to opt out of receiving these types of communications.

 

  1. Personal Information

 

Any user of our Sites, may view and access their Personal Profile and make changes to the Personal Information stored there.  You can also delete or change your Personal Information in our records by contacting us at support@coras.com; we respond to such requests within one (1) week.

 

  1. Information about Unsubscribing and Opting Out

 

You may opt out of receiving certain e-mails, e-mail updates and alerts and phone calls by contacting us at support@coras.com. Your account can be deactivated by contacting us at support@coras.com. You may turn off cookies in your browser, which will prevent certain tracking.

  1. Information from Minors

 

It is Coras’ policy to refrain from knowingly collecting or maintaining personally identifiable information relating to any person under the age of 18.  If you are under the age of 18 and believe you have already provided personally identifiable information through the Site, please have your parent or guardian contact us immediately at support@coras.com so that we can remove such information from our files.

 

  1. Exceptions

 

We may disclose personally identifiable information if we are required to do so by any applicable law or if we deem it advisable and lawful in the course of (a) assisting law enforcement activities, or (b) investigating and resolving disputes between users; and (c) protecting our Site(s) or other property, including, investigating, preventing or taking action with respect to illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving the potential safety of any person, violations of Coras’ terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.  We reserve the right to use and disclose any information that you provide to us if we deem it advisable in the prosecution or defense of any litigation involving your use of any Site.

We appreciate your trust in providing us your personal data; we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it.
